LINE OF E153 ADDITIVES

Vegetable carbon has traditionally been used as a natural black dye in the food and cosmetics industries.

Currently, carbon black is used in a wide range of products as an additive, labelled E153. They are used regularly in the manufacture of:

  • Sweets and gummy candies
  • Cookies
  • Pastries
  • Tinned goods
  • Condiments and seasonings
  • Cheese
  • Sauces
  • Body creams and lotions

Our line of E153 additives is made of highly pure microionised activated vegetable carbon, which complies with the Food Chemical Codex and European regulations EU 231/2012 and EU 216/1120 on additives for food and cosmetic products.
